On January 10, 2026, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Nariman Jelal, together with his wife Leviza Jelalova, visited a large-scale cultural event of the Crimean Tatar community of the city of Eskisehir - "Crimean Night". About this reports Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Turkey.
The event became a platform for informal dialogue between representatives of Ukrainian diplomacy, local authorities and the Crimean Tatar diaspora. During the event, the Ambassador of Ukraine held meetings with the Mayor of Eskisehir Municipality Ayşe Unlüce, the Head of the Odunpazarı District Kazım Kurt, as well as a deputy of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Utku Çakıözer.

During the conversation, the parties discussed current initiatives in support of Ukraine, humanitarian programs, and opportunities for deepening cooperation at the local level. Particular attention was paid to fundraising campaigns for Ukrainian communities.
Speaking to the participants of the "Crimean Night", the Ambassador thanked the Turkish side for its consistent solidarity with Ukraine and noted the importance of the humanitarian initiative implemented in Eskisehir in support of Ukrainians. In particular, it was about assistance for the city of Fastiv, a sister city of the Odunpazari district.

The event also served as an opportunity to highlight the role of the Crimean Tatar community of Eskisehir, which remains an active participant in humanitarian and cultural initiatives aimed at supporting Ukraine.
