The decision is the result of joint efforts by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ukrainian diplomatic missions, and профиль ministries in cooperation with the Veterinary Service of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries of Algeria.
The following documents were agreed upon:
-
veterinary health certificate form for the export of beef cattle to Algeria;

-
veterinary health certificate form for the export of cattle for fattening to Algeria.
“The opening of three new export channels for cattle to Algeria is an important outcome of the systematic work of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. Since the beginning of the year, a total of five new markets have already been opened for Ukrainian animal products. This creates additional opportunities for domestic producers and strengthens Ukraine’s position in the international trade arena,” emphasized Serhii Tkachuk, Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
The Service notes that the opening of new export channels is a step toward deepening trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Algeria and confirms that Ukrainian products comply with the veterinary requirements of the importing country.
Agreed forms of veterinary certificates have been published on the official web portal of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection under the section “International Cooperation” — “Veterinary Medicine and Food Safety” — “Export Certificates from Ukraine.”
