On 10 January 2026, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Turkey Nariman Dzhelyal, together with his wife Leviza Dzhelyalova, attended “Crimean Night”, a large-scale cultural event of the Crimean Tatar community in the city of Eskişehir. This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Türkiye.
The event served as a platform for informal dialogue between representatives of Ukrainian diplomacy, local authorities and the Crimean Tatar diaspora. On the sidelines of the event, the Ambassador met with Eskişehir Metropolitan Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce, Odunpazarı District Mayor Kazım Kurt, and Utku Çakırözer, a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

During the talks, the sides discussed current initiatives in support of Ukraine, humanitarian programmes and opportunities to deepen cooperation at the local level. Particular attention was paid to campaigns to collect aid for Ukrainian communities.
Addressing the participants of “Crimean Night”, the Ambassador thanked the Turkish side for its consistent solidarity with Ukraine and highlighted the importance of the humanitarian initiative carried out in Eskişehir in support of Ukrainians — in particular, aid for the city of Fastiv, Odunpazarı’s sister city.

The event was also an occasion to underline the role of the Crimean Tatar community of Eskişehir, which remains an active participant in humanitarian and cultural initiatives in support of Ukraine.
